Wednesday...
The air stagnation advisory is now in effect until 12 PM PST
Wednesday.
Strong temperature inversions in the lower levels are keeping
mixing heights below 1500 feet this morning. Some mixing will
occur this afternoon. This may disperse some of the pollutants
temporarily. However... a strong inversion will redevelop tonight
and last through Wednesday morning trapping pollutants near the
ground. More sustained mixing is expected Wednesday afternoon.
An air stagnation advisory indicates that due to limited movement
of an airmass across the advisory area... pollution will increase.
Check with your local air quality agency for possible restrictions
