Widely scattered showers and thunderstorms will continue over the Davis and Glass Mountains...Marfa Plateau and portions of the lower trans Pecos through 7 PM CDT. This activity will move to the southeast around 10 mph and may affect motorists on State Highway 17 and U.S. Highway 67. The stronger storms will be capable of producing wind gusts to 50 mph...small hail...brief heavy rainfall and occasional lightning strikes. Seek shelter if thunderstorms approach your location. Additional thunderstorms will likely develop this evening.

* at 433 PM CDT... National Weather Service meteorologists detected a cluster of thunderstorms moving southeast at 10 mph over eastern Jeff Davis County. These storms have already produced near one and one half inches over and near State Highway 17... 10 to 20 miles northeast of Fort Davis.

Additional rainfall is expected which could increase the potential for flooding in the warned area.
