Bands of showers continue moving northwest from the Atlantic across New Jersey into eastern Pennsylvania. The rain is generally light but tends to fall at heaviest rates across coastal New Jersey. Rainfall amounts overnight may range from one quarter to one half inch in northeast New Jersey...especially Monmouth...Middlesex and Morris counties where the heaviest rain is expected to occur during the night.

... Areas of fog across portions of northern and eastern New Jersey overnight...
Areas of fog continue across Middlesex... Monmouth and ocean counties late this evening. The fog will be dense in spots... with visibilities dropping below one-half mile at times. Fog will affect visibilities on the garden state Parkway. The fog is expected to persist into the overnight hours... and could affect the early portion of the morning commute.
If you will traveling across portions of northern and eastern New Jersey overnight... be prepared for reduced visibility. Leave plenty of room between your vehicle and the one ahead of you.
