An area of showers with embedded thunder now extends from the U-L Bend through Jordan and up towards Glasgow. This area will continue to push over Fort Peck Lake reaching Highway 24 in McCone County around 815 and the Glasgow and the Highway 13 area around 900 PM. A few locations have reported rainfall along with wind gusts up to 50 mph with these showers. Only a few rumbles of thunder have been observed.

... Lake Wind Advisory in effect from 10 am to 9 PM MDT Tuesday for Fort Peck Lake...
The National Weather Service in Glasgow has issued a lake Wind Advisory for Fort Peck Lake... which is in effect from 10 am to 9 PM MDT Tuesday.
* Timing... winds will increase by late morning... with strong winds continuing through the day. Winds will weaken Tuesday evening but are expected to increase again on Wednesday.
* Winds... west 15 to 30 mph.
* Impacts... these winds will make open waters of the lake rough and hazardous... and may result in high waves which may tip or swamp smaller craft.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
Boaters should use extreme caution if venturing onto Fort Peck Lake. For your personal safety... avoid the open waters. Stay close to shore or around protected areas.
