* timing... winds will increase this morning becoming strong and
gusty through the early evening hours.

* Winds... southwest winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts of 40 to 50
mph.

the Little Colorado River valley northward. This includes
portions of Interstate-40 west of Winslow and State Highway 191
through the Chinle Valley.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Wind Advisory means that sustained winds of 30 to 39 mph... or
gusts from 40 to 57 mph... are expected. Winds this strong can
make driving difficult... especially for high profile vehicles.
Consider securing loose belongings on your property. Additional
weather information is on the web at www.Weather.Gov/Flagstaff.

... Red flag warning in effect from 8 am this morning to 8 PM MST
this evening for strong winds and low relative humidity...

The start time of todays red flag warning has been changed to 8
am MST.

* Affected area... all of northern Arizona

* 20 foot wind... by mid morning... southwest 15-30 mph with gusts of
35 to 50 mph.

* Minimum relative humidity... as low as 8 percent.

A red flag warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring or are imminent. A combination of strong
winds and low relative humidities will create extreme fire growth
potential.

Please notify field crews of this red flag warning.
