... Red flag warning in effect from 11 am to 8 PM MST Friday...

The National Weather Service in Tucson has issued a red flag
warning... which is in effect from 11 am to 8 PM MST Friday.

* Affected area... the red flag warning is in effect for eastern
Pinal County.

* Timing... relative humidity values across the area will fall
below critical fire weather thresholds by mid-morning
Friday... with sustained 20-foot wind speeds exceeding critical
fire weather thresholds by late-morning Friday.

* Winds... sustained southwest 20-foot winds of 15 to 25 mph with
gusts up to 40 mph.

* Relative humidity... minimum relative humidity values on Friday
are expected to range from the upper single digits to low teens.

* Impacts... if conditions are met... any fires that develop will
have the potential for rapid spread. Ongoing fires may
experience rapid and erratic fire growth. Outdoor burning is not
recommended.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A red flag warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now... or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds... low relative humidity... and warm temperatures will
create the potential for rapid and erratic fire growth.

Please advise the appropriate officials or fire crews in the
field of the red flag warning for portions of Southeast Arizona.
